The Competition:
Mrs. Banker’s students at Del Campo High School are involved in a poetry competition with other students. Thanks to all of their hard work, below you will find some competition entries and poems by Mrs. Banker.
The Poetry Style:
As you will see below, many if not all of the poems are written as a Haiku (Japanese poems of 3 lines with 17 (5-7-5) syllables) or as a Cinquain (a 5 line stanza with specific parts of speech).
