I would like to start by saying thanks to everyone who has taken the time to view this site and read about a few of the items that I hold in the highest regards.
I am a PADI and SDI Divemaster who enjoys spending as much time as possible below the oceans surface to visit with the fascinating aquatic life that so many others have never been able to enjoy in such the same ways. Obviously many of the creatures that I enjoy so much are endangered or threatened by many factors including over fishing, warming ocean temperatures, and pollution.
I am also a network engineer working for a tier one internet service provider. I have been with the company for almost twelve years now. By working for such a great company that has huge ties into it’s communities and by looking into a few of their foundations, I have seen just how much help even the smallest contributions can provide if others are willing to make small sacrifices.
I took this new information and I wanted to expand on it by trying to give back indirectly. I wanted to give back, but not necessarily to individuals. I wanted to give back to our lovely oceans and the aquatic life that can not speak without the voices from others who care and want to ensure that all the beauty we take for granted at times will be there for other generations to enjoy as much as we do.
So, I decided to chase my dreams and do what I could to make them happen. I worked with several others, collaborated ideas, dug into my bank account and started the charitable organization “Project Ocean”. I did this hoping others will make some small sacrifices in their lives and by working together we could provide help in many of the areas that need us to show our thanks back to our lovely oceans, and the ever so quiet aquatic life that I enjoy dreaming about each and every night.
So, I am asking you and everyone you know to do what you can to preserve the oceans, protect our aquatic life, and if possible, provide small monitory donations to organizations like Project Ocean to ensure someone is speaking up.
