Sea turtle swims for the first time in 11 years
Thanks to the creative minds at Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park in Dorset a sea turtle swims underwater for the first time in 11 years after being hit by a boat. The belt they created allows this turtle to swim normally after the accident created an air bubble under her shell which prevented her from submerging.
This belt works just like a SCUBA divers weight belt works. The team simply adds the proper amount of lead weight (2.5lbs) to a small pouch and Ali can once again submerge and swim freely.
